  1. Plug in the device and turn it on. The iron reaches its optimal temperature of 185°C in about 25 seconds.
  2. Apply a ghd heat protectant to dry hair before styling.
  3. Separate hair into medium-sized sections.
  4. Place a section between the plates and glide slowly from root to tip in a single smooth motion.
  5. To straighten: pull the iron downward following the direction of the hair.
  6. To curl: rotate your wrist 90° while sliding the iron downward.
  7. The device switches off automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity.
