1. Press the power button to turn on the iron and select the desired temperature.
2. Slide the speed selector to low or high depending on preference.
3. Set the SmartCurl timer to 5 or 8 seconds depending on hair type.
4. Slide the AutoTwist button left or right to direct the barrel's rotation toward or away from the face.
5. Hold the button until hair is wrapped around the barrel, then release to activate the timer.
6. When the alert sounds, open the clamp and release the curl.

Automatic shut-off after one hour. Automatic universal voltage (100–240V). Use a heat protectant before styling.
